Arguably the greatest jazz drummer of all time, the Buddy Rich's career spanned seven decades, beginning at 18 months old and continuing until his death in 1987. Immensely gifted, Rich could play with remarkable speed and dexterity despite the fact that he never received a formal lesson and refused to practice outside of his performances.

HQ Percussion Products, founded in 1988 "by drummers, for drummers," is gearing up to market new Buddy Rich items. The company will be producing crescent and octagon-shaped practice pads, embedded with the recognizable and iconic BR shield.
