James Dean Appears In New Speed Channel Program

Though many have tried to capture his essence, James Dean had an aura about him that is impossible to duplicate. In just over a year, and in only three films, Dean became a widely admired screen personality, a personification of the restless American youth of the mid-50s. Kind but brooding, sensitive yet with a seemingly impermeable skin, he could captivate audiences without uttering a word.

As Dean was an avid racing fan and driver, WATV Productions has licensed the use of this infamous rebel for a new racing-related television program. The program, a retrospective the history of Mercury cars, will feature Dean through the use of two photographs. This program can be seen worldwide on the Speed Channel.
