Amelia Earhart Bronze Statues and Busts

Amelia Earhart On December 17, 1903, Wilbur and Orville Wright realized a dream many thought unattainable - flight. Their vision and hard work enabled generations to come to take to the sky and soar like birds. Less than 30 years later, the equally determined Amelia Earhart followed in the footsteps of Charles Lindberg and became the second person, and first woman, to fly solo across the Atlantic.

With the Centennial Anniversary of Flight fast approaching in 2003, aviation organizations across the country have already begun to prepare for the nationwide celebration. The Federal Government has even established a U.S. Centennial Flight Commission to plan a years worth of air shows and special events to commemorate this milestone.

Throughout 2003 Amelia Earhart will be recognized for her contributions to aviation. Event sponsors are anxious to offer commemorative merchandise for sale to attendees at the various events, and CMG is seeking licensees to produce items. To submit a business form or view links to events that have been planned for the celebration, please visit www.AmeliaEarhart.com.

Decker Studios has chosen to honor Earhart with a line of bronze statues and busts. The studio will recreate an original work of art by Ernest Shelton, from which they will produce life-size bronze statues and busts, and full-size bronze maquettes and bust maquettes. These items will be released for sale worldwide in 2003. For more information on the prestigious Decker Studios and this upcoming project, please visit www.deckerstudios.com.
