Show Your Love for New York in the Kitchen
The famous I
New
York campaign was conceptualized
in the 1970s as an effort to pull the state out of an economic
slump. Advertising agency Wells, Rich and Greene came up with
a slogan that could refer to both the city and the state, as
well as invoke pride through a simple and effective motto. When
the ads came out in 1977, they featured New York celebrities
including Frank Sinatra, Morgan Fairchild and Yul Brenner. Today,
the campaign is considered the most successful in history, and
advertisements still run with celebrities ranging from Marc
Anthony to the former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
New for 2003, Custom Craft
Inc. is creating I
New York aprons. The beloved logo stands out boldly on these
white cooking aprons, which will be distributed throughout the
United States. With a retail value of $20, they are perfect
for whipping up a culinary delight in the kitchen, or simply
throwing a few burgers out back on the grill.
