Hall of Fame shortstop "Pee Wee" Reese joins client roster
A great ballplayer, coach and teammate, Harold "Pee Wee" Reese made
many notable contributions to professional baseball. He led the Brooklyn Dodgers
to seven
pennants in the
1940s and 1950s. Each year from 1947-1954 he was named an All-Star player and
in 1984 he was elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He was a dependable
shortstop and a strong hitter, earning his best average of .309 in 1954.
In addition to his baseball talents, Pee Wee made an important contribution to
baseball when he whole-heartedly gave his support to Jackie Robinson.
Pee Wee publicly befriended his new teammate at a time fans and players were
hesitant
to accept Jackie as a Major League ballplayer.
