Raymond Loewy Foundation opens new branch
A new branch of the Raymond Loewy Foundation
will formerly open April 7, 2004 in Milan, Italy. Milan, the capital of Italian
fashion, welcomes this event with open arms. Laurence Loewy, daughter of Raymond
Loewy, will be on-hand to address the gala opening festivities.
The Raymond Loewy Foundation, composed of noted
designers and academics, honors established designers while recognizing significant
trends in Modern Design. The foundation highlights important contributions of
talented young designers through the annual presentation of the Jr. Lucky Strike
Designer Awards. The foundation currently maintains offices in Hamburg, Tokyo
and Zurich.
