Corvette diecast models feature I Love New York slogan

I Love New York diecast model

The famous I Love New York campaign was conceptualized in the 1970s as an effort to pull the state out of an economic slump. Advertising agency Wells, Rich and Greene came up with a slogan that could refer to both the city and the state, as well as invoke pride through a simple and effective motto. When the ads came out in 1977, they featured New York celebrities including Frank Sinatra, Morgan Fairchild and Yul Brenner. Today, the campaign is considered the most successful in history, and advertisements still run with celebrities ranging from Marc Anthony to the former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Just in time for the new year, GreenLight LLC has released special I Love New York diecast cars. These models are sure to delight everyone from diecast collectors, to car enthusiasts, to fans of New York. The I Love New York models are 1:64 scale die casts of a silver Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. There will be 4,000 units produced with red wheels and 1,000 units with bright chrome wheels.

These models are available for purchase in various in the state of New York, as well as online at DieCastAlley.com, and retail for $5. New York is the first of this collection, which GreenLight LLC plans to expand upon. Future cities that will be added include in this special program include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Las Vegas and Miami.
