Boeing utilizes classic role model, Hedy Lamarr

Hedy Lamarr print advertisement Often called “The Most Beautiful Woman in Films,” Hedy Lamarr’s striking good looks and screen presence made her one of Hollywood’s most popular actresses. As if being a beautiful, talented actress was not enough, Hedy was also extremely intelligent. In addition to her film accomplishments, Hedy patented an idea that later became the crutch of both secure military communications and mobile phone technology.

Recently, renowned airline manufacturer
Boeing recognized Hedy’s innovation and drive by utilizing her in a print campaign to promote their corporate identity. Boeing purchased the rights to place these advertisements in trade magazines and newspapers, as well as on outdoor media such as billboards, subway cards and bus posters. A majority of the campaign is focused in Chicago, Washington D.C., Dallas and several prominent California cities. Advertisements and media will remain in circulation through July 2004.
