CMG Worldwide participates in James Dean Fest Global Press Conference

CMG Worldwide, business agent for the estate of James Dean and leader in intellectual property rights management, participated in a Global Press Conference on February 8 at The Grove in Los Angeles, California. Approximately 600 industry executives and media personnel attended the conference. Mark Roesler, CMG Worldwide chairman and CEO, outlined the events and programs associated with the James Dean Fest and CMG's yearlong James Dean 50th anniversary tribute.

Among the extensive licensing initiatives in place is a partnership with Action Performance, the leader in officially licensed motorsports collectibles and memorabilia. There is also a close collaboration with Warner Bros. studios to release a special edition 50th anniversary DVD box set. The collection will include Dean's three movies, "East of Eden," "Rebel Without a Cause" and "Giant," as well as "James Dean: Forever Young," a new documentary on Dean's life and career set to debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May and narrated by Martin Sheen.

Also announced on Tuesday, world renowned contemporary artist Charles Fazzino has been selected as the official artist of the James Dean 50th anniversary celebration. Fazzino will be creating original artwork of James Dean that will be available in various forms and sizes during the James Dean Fest June 3-5 in Marion, Indiana. He will also create one official James Dean Fest piece to be unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of "James Dean: Forever Young."
